2023 ‘HOME BLOCK’, SYRAH ROSÉ

Hand picked, 100% whole bunch pressed, unfined.

We didn’t enter the Rosé world tentatively. This is no bi-product of red wine winemaking or of an indifferent vintage (as is often the case with the wall of Rosé wines at your local). This Syrah Rosé was crafted with clear intent to deliver that beguiling colour – suggestive of both fruit and earth; intense fragrance – floral, fruit and mineral; and texture – dry and long. 

After hand picking and a ridiculously long press cycle, the raw juice underwent a long slow fermentation due to the cool autumn cellar temperatures. A further six months of maturation on the spent yeast lees provided the presence and texture to sit comfortably alongside its Easthope stablemates.
